As Saudi Arabia gears up for the E-Prix taking place at the Unesco World Heritage site in Riyadh, we got sneak peeks of the amazing race battle between a supercar and a falcon.
But don’t be fooled, the supercar, called the Formula E series might be an electric vehicle but can do 0 to 100 kph in 5 seconds.
And on the other competing side is Saudi Arabia’s fastest animal in the Kingdom, the peregrine falcon that can reach speeds of 350 kph in a matter of minutes.
Proving that electric cars are not sedated and slow, even against the fastest animal in KSA, former Formula One driver, Felipe Massa, sat behind the wheel at this epic battle.
In bids to outrun each other, we guarantee you won’t be able to take your eyes off the screen over the next 3 minutes…
A true battle of the century – machine versus nature – the peregrine falcon was trained for this moment.
By attaching a piece of lure to the roof of Felipe Massa’s supercar, the Falcon follows suit in efforts to catch his meal.
Not the first battle
Last year, another Formula One racer took to battle it out against an animal – Jean-Eric Vergne raced a cheetah in South Africa and won.
