Eid Al Adha is finally upon us as Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported yesterday that the Zul Hijjah crescent has been sighted on Tuesday evening during sunset.
The Saudi Supreme Court has announced that Arafat Day will be on August 31st, 2017 and the first day of Eid Al Adha will fall on September 1st, 2017.
The holiday for the government sector will start on Thursday, August 24th and continue until Sunday, September 10th as reported by Khaleej Times.

People participating in the Hajj pilgrimage will start arriving on August, 30th, 2017. This is the pilgrimage to Mecca, birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad.
The Islamic calendar is a lunar calendar, and so public and religious holidays may vary in date on the Gregorian calendar.
