Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank -ADCB

I want to open an online savings account with this bank and I would like to hear feedback on money transfers with in UAE (or outside UAE). Has anyone had any problems with this bank?

Thank you

Love ADCB and especially their online banking product. (I switched from HSBC about 8 years ago). I almost never visit the branch and do everything online. Transferring overseas - easy in 2 mins once you have set up beneficiary in the system. Also pay all my bills, salik etc. Can transfer between my different accounts easily - local, offshore etc. I have never had any trouble with them at all. I personally have found customer service and responsiveness to be good any time when I have had a query.

ADCB is the worst bank ever. they are very rude on the phone and their rates are always fishy. they sell you products of privilege or excellency and you end up paying lots of money and treated very badly. they are the worst. Are you resurrecting old threads just to slag companies off You do know you need to be very careful slandering companies

Thanks for the feedback Saharagypsyrose I checked with RAKbank and since I am not working I cannot open an online savings account with them. Anyway I just want to keep the money in a savings account and only option with high paying interest rate seems to be ADCB. ADCB also have lot of charges so I guess I will have to be careful if I open an account with them. Thanks again.

I have been with them for over 5 years and generally have no issues with them. If you are looking at savings account, you might also want to consider RAK Bank as they offer 2.50% vs ADCB's 2.25%. The good thing I like about RAK is that you can have up to 5 utility bill payments and 1 withdrawal per month and still get your full interest paid which is not the case with ADCB. I had made some wire-transfer internationally recently and it seems to be the slowest one to show up compared to another 2 local banks. Upon inquiry, they seem to have 4 business days as they don't count Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Good luck! :)

thanks for the reply busybee2. They are offering better savings rate at the moment compared to other banks so that is why I decided to put bulk of our savings there. I am just worried that I will have trouble when transferring money out. I have read about money getting lost for weeks while in transfer with banks edited by rosse10 on 09/01/2012

we have been customers for 15 years and they have been fine considering they are a local bank, we have sent money to the uk a few times and its always got there on time. they are defo better than a lot of the others here.
