Can anyone recommend a good acupuncturist? I just called Dubai Mall medicentre and their Dr has her next free appointment in June! Really want to be feeling better before then. It is for back pain due to slipped discs if that makes any difference.
TIA

I've visited few Chinese medicine doctors in Dubai, he is the only one who always does tongue and pulse diagnosis. And he also shares advices on the life style, which I found super helpful. I respond perfectly with his treatment. I go to him for few compliants like migrine, neck pain and insomnia etc. he just does magic! Dr Dr Zheng at The King China Acupuncture Centre in Satwa is brilliant. She was recommended to me by my previous acupuncturist Dr Chen who left Dubai. She's extremely good & offers both costs per session or a package of 10 sessions of acupuncture & cupping for 2,300 dhs. Her mob is 050 6988637.

Hey there, not sure if this is correct or not but I do not think acupuncture and dry needling are the same thing! I have been getting dry needling using acupuncture needles and the treatment is to stick the needles directly into the tendon to agrravate it a little to encourage repair, ie the injury triggers an increased blood supply to the area and therfore hopefully repair the original damage. I think!! It is very painful but short term. Acupuncture is, when I have had it, not at all painful and is more an holistic treatment, quite different. I could be really wrong here but I do not think they are the same thing!! I don't think they are the same either. I have dry needling from my physio to help take the knots out of muscles I am learning to re use. As Noddy2 said, it's very painful and normally you can only stand it for a matter of a few minutes, if that
