Hi,

Can anyone tell me if this is the Iranian Hospital in Satwa??

I am looking for somewhere to get my medical done for my visa. So far I have found info about the Satwa health care centre. I have tried calling the number from the website but it rings and rings and rings and no one answeres and the other number is a fax!!

I'm not bothered about having the VIP service that Al Safa offer. So, if anyone knows of anywhere closer to the marina area I would be grateful for any info.

TIA

Just thought I would put and update on here. I planned to go to Safa this morning but didn't get there in tme so I braced myself for Satwa.... I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived at midday, was told to head to the typing centre in the car park which I did. Got the typing done, had some photo's taken and paid my money. I then went into the main clinic handed over my piece of paper and was told to wait. I was prepared and took a magazine. I think I managed to flick through a few pages before my name was called. Had my blood taken then went to the x-ray section... again I was seen straight away. I was out of there just before 1 and home in time for my lunch. I asked the lady if this was normal - she said the mornings are always VERY busy but lunch times are always fairly quiet. Good to know for the future!!!

Just did mine last week. i suggest you do it like this.... Go to Mazaya Centre and get your typing done the day before. Take passports, copies, 2 pics, less than 300 dhs. Typing is in the entry way at the back neat C4. Opens at 9am, until lateish i suppose. Next morning got to Baada Clinic behind Shangri'la, next to Wellington Primary. Easy to find. Arrive at 7am as they only take a certain number of people (opens at 7.30am). Go in with your typing, get a ticket and get your blood test done. Super easy (if you have your typing done before lol, useless PROs!)

Thanks for the info ladies - I'll give Satwa a miss then!! I just thought I'd save a few pennies by skipping the VIP service but it sounds as if it's worth paying the extra.

I second her's opinion, don't go to the satwa one! Although the staff is friendly, it took me forever to get a number (like 2 days) and it's really really crowded and sweaty. Try to go to Al Safa. Good luck!

This is the list of Health Centre for medical fitness: http://www.dha.gov.ae/EN/ServiceCatalogue/eServices/MedicalFitness/Pages/MedicalFitnessCenters.aspx If you insist of going to Satwa, you could actually get the direction from the above website: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?source=embed&hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=111084072412110656389.000484bc44f055a30d529&ll=25.115902,55.350103&spn=0.365631,0.30737

Hi Daisy, I did my visa at the Satwa clinic recently - it's the one near the bus station, opposite Deepak's and near the other fabric shops if you know it? It was absolute bedlam and it took a whole morning in a sweaty waiting room - so I strongly recommend that you go elsewhere if you have the choice!!! Indeed, the VIP service at Al Safa sounds infinitely preferable!
