Same, so-safe has santeo and its 7 stage filter and I think it has that UV light option too to kill bacteria and all that. Really satisfied with their service too.
Hi there, I've been using Milano purifier with an Annual Maintenance Contract where they would change the filter for free, as many times than needed of course (we're a small family of 4). This year, the AMC fee has suddently increased. And to add insult to injury, when we called them for the second time for the filter change, they acted as if we didn't have any AMC. When I showed him the receipt, his manager told him to tell us that we're have to pay for the filter change, because the AMC only covered 1 filter change from now on... feel cheated of course that they don't stick to their commitment and change the rules every year. We're definitely going to stop using them and report them to the authorities.

Buy the one from filtes tr co. Their services are very good and also their product is of very good quality. Bit expensive though from other products but its worth it. Their maintenance guys reach within one day and also they gave us shower filter and a faucet for free. Also they are charging 500 for one year and do the service and maintenance for one year.

[url=http://www.liquidoflife.net/LiquidofLife_FAQ_Filter.html'>link[/url'> here is a link to the questions for liquid of life under sink water filters. Unfortunately there isnt a picture but there are two filters which are about 30cm long and as round as a decent coffee cup. The filters are replaced annually there are no big tanks and they dont take up a huge amount of room.

Thanks Axelle for your reply, but my question was the servicing of the filter itself and the small water tank they install in your kitchen and not the building's water tank itself (if the process is different in your case then apologies I'm not aware of the brand).

Yes Appletiser, the Liquid of Life ones are. They will come and transfer them to your new apartment if you move. In ours there are a few holes where the two filters are attached to the wall, we will "plug them up" when we leave. I am really impressed with the filter and the water tastes good and the service was excellent.

Are the water filters removable if you should move to other accommodations?

I think it depends on where you live. I think the maintenance of the water tank is not the job of the filter company. I am looking into having filters at home and I sent an email to Liquid of Life (company who installs filters) in which I asked more info about the quality of the water. I am copying the reply I got from them, hopefully you find it useful: "You are correct to question the quality of the input water when considering filters and as a company we would not install filters where we are not confident or educated on the maintenance of the tanks for the buildings in which we install drinking water filters. The quality of the water does vary from Emirate to Emirate but the quality of the DEWA water is actually very good and we independently carry out regular testing of the water from our filters for both our corporate and domestic clients. The SR apartment buildings are managed by ECM (Emaar Community Management) and they carry out a monthly microbiological test of the water, which tests for bacteria and a Legionella test every 2 months. The tanks are also regularly cleaned in line with Dubai Municipality requirements. I have spoken to someone at ECM this afternoon and they have confirmed that there have been no issues with any of the testing to date. We also have a number of other families living in the Downtown where we have installed the filters and they have not had any issues over the last few years."

A question to all of those who have installed water filters (the RO types not the shower ones), do the guys come for servicing (clean up basically) the water storage tank on a regular basis? We installed one a couple of years back and getting them to come for servicing was such a headache that we stopped using it altogether - total waste of money for us. So now we make do with bottled water.

Yes, I totally recommend it. We had one installed about 6 weeks ago. It was nearly 3000aed so not cheap, but so worth it. I felt worried/concerned for years using bottled water full of junk and stored in plastic. The water tastes 10 times better and I feel worry-free! My husband really didn't want one (thought it was a waste of money) but even he is glad now. We used a company called Advanced Living Solutions. The guys name is Archie. They bring RO filters from the US. Sorry, I don't have easy access to the number, if you cant find it online let me know and I will try and dig it out.:) edited by Tru Blu on 12/02/2015
