I use YummySoup! its an app for the Mac, you can import recipes from web, and there are recipes uploaded. All the folders are pre assigned, and you can add new ones. It can be synced across PC/laptop using dropbox
It's a good idea Cymraes. I've started taking screen shots of recipes I like on my ipad , a step on from the recipes in plastic folders and it's handy but it uses up a lot of space.
Dropbox gets my vote! You have the option of creating separate folders for different recipe categories - all accessible from anywhere! Google drive too...
I've got lots of recipes that I've saved in 'word' over years. Now I'dlike to compile my own recipe book, I don't need recipe ideas just somewhere to store them in an organised manner - even better if it's an app I can keep on the iCloud ... Any ideas?
Are you planning to publish the book or is it just for our own ease of use? I've got loads of recipes in word but most often use the relies I've stuck in clear plastic sleeves- how old fashioned is that:-)
Oh that's me too! I'd like somewhere electronically to store them, plus if I can put on the cloud I can access here, in the UK when visiting and share easily.
Pish posh will look up your programme but don't have an iMac ....

I use the MacGourmet Deluxe program on my iMac. I believe there is an app that is supposed to work with the program, but I have not downloaded that yet.
The MacGourmet program itself I find nice and relatively easy to use. I like that from certain web sites you can import the recipes directly into the program. And if you find a recipe on a website that is not working together with the program you can "clip" the recipe and import the clipping. You then need to modify the clipping in the program to make it fit the template.
If your recipes are all in word format you would have to invest a little time to put them into the program, but with everything in word format you could more or less copy paste the parts of the recipes in the template.
It is a good little program which I need to start using more..
