Can anyone recommend accommodation with a kitchenette that is in a good location too for sightseeing and some shopping? Not too expensive please.

I would second the Fraser Suites on Soi 11. They are always clean and spacious, regardless of the size of room. I have stayed there four times in three different sized rooms and each have been great. There is a pool area, a children's room and a gym. Whilst the children's play area isn't great, it looks into the gym. In theory, you could have a work out in the gym, whilst keeping an eye on your children next door. HTH :)

Thanks for the recommendations. I defnitely need accommodation very near to a BTS station as I have 2 kids. Room size is very important to me as I feel claustrophobic in small spaces. Accommodation/Hotel also must have a nice pool. Doesnt feel like holiday if there isnt a pool. :) edited by Appletiser on 17/04/2012

There are the Fraser Suites on Soi 11, and Adelphi Suites on Soi 8 both in Sukhumvit, both streets have restaurants and bars with easy walking access to NANA BTS (adelphi about 1 min) stayed in both, but my preference for comfort and size is Fraser Suites...., can also recommend the Somerset but the one we stayed at was a bit of a trek from the BTS...... depends what area you want really.....making me want to go there now :(
