They told me the paper can last up to six months if you place it in the fridge as soon as possible.

I imagine you could print a week or two in advance, just keep the finished article in an airtight container, and only place onto the cake at the last minute.

sorry gentle bump... anyone? I dont normally venture to Spinneys so was trying to minimize the trip. Can I do the print one week in advance? Thanks! :) For those who have done this at Spinney's.... two questions from a newbie: 1. Is the edible paper clear or at least translucent? eg, If my image has background which i dont necessarily want on the cake (eg, there is cartoon image that doesnt take up the entire page) will that be white on the edible paper? Will I just trim off parts of the image/paper I dont need? 2. How far in advance can I print my image? Will it bleed or anything if left for a week? THANK YOU!! :)

Ive had this done at both spinneys and park and shop. I think I preferred the park and shop one, but it may be because of resolution of pic. I second Park&Shop. They are much more attentive and the picture quality is great. They use edible rice paper. It has no taste in case you were wondering ;)

You can take your picture to one of the Spinneys down Jumeriah way and they charge 40dhms or so to print your picture onto edible paper. Just make sure you take a really high resolution image as they are just copying it.
