I really want my DD to have a Scottish accent so the more Scots she is surrounded with the better. Are there societies out here that organise Burns Suppers etc?

Ok did that one in Al Ain when I was teaching there. I have a couple of cd's and a dvd of our home town pipe band too if that is any good to you. I taught the kids there some doric poetry that day and it went down really well. One of the emirati boys liked it so much he stood up at an assembly to recite to the others. Fabulous to hear it in that accent.
