Hello all Scottish ladies! Have to agree with SL13 that Ayrshire is far from posh; I've been saying that I'm from Glasgow but originally from the South West (without going into further details) for years! I think you'll agree with me, when you realise that I come from Kilwinning don't want to advertise it! StarryEyed - I have a few Scottish items that I got for Xmas; mugs, pinny (apron), flag, cushion, recipe book, etc. Let me know if you're interested. Love the name! Our quiz team in Al Ain were known as the neeps (North East Ex Pats Scotland)

Is Ayrshire that bad that they pretend to be from Glasgow!? I used to go on day trips to visit cousins in Troon and I thought they were quite posh! This was a long time ago mind you. Certain parts are according to DH, obviously he isnt from Troon :)

Well it was Ayrshire that produced the Bard and my aunt is from Kilmarnock. I'm Glasgow born but live in Clackmannanshire under the gorgeous Ochil Hills. :D

Have got a flag (would need to dig it out); 2 kilts but to fit a 2-3yr old probably; some of those Itchy Coo books (books for kids written in scottish dialect - quite funny & good - trying to educate DD) and possibly a few other bits which I'd need to have a look around for. Based in Mirdif - if your interested let me know and I'll email you!! I'm an Ayrshire girl though spent about 10yrs living in Paisley & Glasgow - does that make me a hinger on?? My goodness you must be from a posh part of ayrshire. DH is from Cumnock and never admits to coming from there heheh
