Just wondered if anyone can recommend some nice camping grounds in France. We are wanting to camp for 2-3 weeks and would like to be by the beach - north or south France - we are open to ideas!! Oh and also has to be child friendly and some restaurants walking distance! (Hope we aren't asking to much hahaa!)

Any recommendations would be much appreciated!! :)

We toured around last summer in a campervan - didn't go quite where you are but we used www.alanrogers.com and got some really brilliant campsites from that. We initially got the book from Amazon but the website was also really handy. HTH.

I can't recommend a particular camping ground, but would suggest maybe this area, Les Landes, which is on the western coast of the hexagon, with pine forests and lovely beaches, nearest big towns being Arcachon and Bordeaux (nice trip to the vineyards, eh what?): http://www.campsiteseurope.co.uk/campsitesinfrancecampsitesleslandes-c-1_3_9.html
