Please tell me. Does anyone else get really carsick when riding in taxis here? It happens to me nearly every time.

I'm not looking for solutions - just some mental coddling and some "me too"s. It would make me feel better. Haha.

Ohhh, I tell the taxi drivers that I'm pregnant and if they don't slow down I will vomit everywhere, there is a look of horror and then the drive is actually enjoyable ?

And yes, sitting in the front seat would make you look very "forward".

I can't sit in the back of any car any more (Taxi/Careem or otherwise) which now means the metro :) and walks from metro stations even in the summer - when the car is in for a service or whatever. Bizarrely the problem is much worse since pregnancy/sickness during pregnancy - it must be an inner ear type thing for us all that is triggered by movement. Very annoying.

Oh I've had to tell drivers to pull over before because the stop/start and erratic driving makes me sick to my stomach. That's why I avoid RTA taxis and take Careem cars when possible. Doesn't happen with them. It's the pumping of the breaks and whiffy ones that turn my stomach

My DD does, she's better if she sits in the front. It's mostly the jerky stop/start when in high traffic volume on SZR etc. I've been told not to sit in front of a taxi though as a woman. Something about it seems as though you are hitting on the driver. Is it true? Also, as a side note, I keep seeing DD and DH on this forum. What do they mean? In ten years I have never been hit on by a taxi driver. Most are pleasant and some don't chat at all If they are too chatty I use the time to listen to music or phone friends DH is darling husband and DD Darling Daughter
