Some malls are cheaper / more expensive than others, though depending on whether you bring your own client or count on the footfall there is a big difference between locations. Marina Mall has cheaper options with small kiosks, Covent Garden market, Ibn Battuta / Times Square seems a little better too (although footfall is far from DCC or MoE). Worth checking some of the little malls in Jumeirah too. And yes, you need to have a valid Trade License!

we looked into this recently for my husbands business, he was only looking for short term. i spoke to emaar re. having a space in at the Town Centre (Springs) - they said it was 3,500 aed for one day. I think it was 14,000 aed for a week, and then something like 30,000 for the month. i think this goes for any of emaars shopping areas (arabian ranches etc). i think you would need to have a trade license to be safe.

I don't know how they do that as well. I ran three small businesses a few years ago but decided to close when the rent boot hit as it was not worth it to make ends meet after rent (always increasing) labor costs, licensing (always increasing), sponsorship, increasing competition, etc. I was very thankful we never lost but there is no way I could survive in the current price levels. I just read an article in Reader's Digest that suggested staying away from kiosks because they pay the highest rent and, therefore, their prices must reflect this.

I don't see how these stalls are making 35k a month let alone more but what do I know! Many of these stalls are one of many by the same company, and also have larger stores elsewhere, so 35k/month is not a big deal.

I was told by the MCC leasing department that it's 35k per month, you can do a 4 day trial to see if people are interested in your stall for 30k???? I don't see how these stalls are making 35k a month let alone more but what do I know!

Hi, does anyone know the basic cost of renting a kiosk at one of the Malls here in Dubai and do you have to have a trade license? Thanks
