Did I glimpse something about Du having major problems yesterday? It's got worse in our Meadows - can't make calls or watch telly. Broadband as OK as usual - touch wood.

We have had no landline for 4 weeks thanks to DU, bills all paid and up to date. They have filed numerous 'complaints', I have spent hours on the phone, yet still not working. Broadband is ok. DH going to try again today.

*Blush*. We hadn't paid the bill (we hadn't received it, mark you, but apparently that doesn't matter) so they cut us off. Normal service to be resumed shortly, they say.. Meanwhile, on the Archers SATTC, Nigel is deaded. Boo hoo.

DH just got off the phone, Du are 'filing a complaint' .... . Would you AdamnEve it, just as I was reading the above, husbad called upstairs to ask me if I'd called Du about the TV not working - I pointed out that our Du phones aren't working so it was hardly likely.. (He has an Etisalat mobile for work, but won't use it for this!)

We are in the Meadows, no TV or Phone in our house either since this afternoon. DH on the phone to DU now, they don't seem to have a clue what is going on .... they have DH turning on and off TV and Cable box and disconnecting the power cable. Will let you know if it gets sorted Thanks for that - I was afraid it was because I hadn't paid a bill (how does *that* work, last time I paid online direct from our bank account, this time Du is not available in the pay bills service on our bank account), but that sounds as if it's not just my bad. Husbad says he's getting a message on TV to call du but as we can't use our du phones, it's not a lot of good!

I have a message scrolling across the screen saying a system upgrade will commence from midnight till 8am and there may be disruptions. So far I just can't use my remote - it's definitely working as it'll switch the box on and off, but won't bring up any menus or change channel. So I'm stuck watching Dubai Sport. They are doing some system "upgrade" which can mean anything in terms from DU! Mostly the system is affected from midnight to 8am though .... DU up to their old tricks again!!!
