Hello.

We have an apartment in Southridge and our tenant (Grrrrr) has unbelievably lost all the keys for the apartment (bed room, balcony, access cards, etc). I want to replace the locks on the doors but want to use the same lock vendor Emaar originally used. Can anyone living there please tell me who the lock company is (take a look on your locks and keys if possible) or does anyone know who the vendor is?

TIA

There is a company here in Dubai that has those German keys (most of the time, at least). Trying to find the contact and will revert.

I live in South Ridge and I lost my front door key. I've been told (by the office in Yansoon, and the security office in SR) that they have to send off to Germany for a replacement key and that it takes 2-3 months!! I haven't actually done it yet as I can't believe there isn't a quicker way to do this. They are insisting 2-3 months, it can't possibly be done sooner. Sounds like it would be a better idea to get the whole lock replaced.

We live in South Ridge -- the bedroom keys are made by Hafele. There are two numbers on each key. For both sets of bedroom keys, the number is 542752. The second number differs for each bedroom. Hope this puts you in the right direction.

The problem is that Emaar told us when we moved in that these keys cannot be remade. I already replaced the front door locks with a much cheaper one and it broke my heart because the quality of the original locks was far superior. I just want to use the same company so it is the same product. I think I might have to go Downtown to speak with the Property Department. Thanks tho.

My key broke inside the lock, then I called Emrill who gave me a third party service ( I forgot the name). So this company came to my apt within the hour and replace the lock. For access card, I think, you have to report it to Emaar Customer Centre at Yansoon 9, Downtown.

I think you would only need to replace the barrel rather than the whole lock mechanism? try Arabian Keys on 0557582123 who drilled out and replaced some lost keys for us recently. Don't know about the access cards though... Good Luck!
