I'm in, again! Didn't do too well last time as I got to Level 1 Day 8 and then don't know what happened. I'm going to start where I left off, Level 1 Day 9 - can't start level 1 from scratch again or I know I'll get bored. Thanks for getting us so involved in this CT.

On day 26...L3 is HARD and I am still on the easier moves for a lot of it - but I will be so proud of myself when I finish and will be right back starting again with CT! And well done CT!

Well done CT! I wasn't aware of your history and you deserve all the kudos. I am going to do a couple of more days on level 1 and then move on up to level 2. Ms Motivator you certainly are, so thank you for that.:)

Well done CT! A great achievement. Definitely on board for the Feb. thread but won't be starting till 6 or 7 as will be away. In preparation, I re-started Level 1 yesterday. Had done about 18 days on levels 1 and 2 up to 2 weeks ago but fell off the wagon. Just want to keep the 'fitness' up as much as possible before the Feb Shred (but really want to avoid severe muscle aches!). Last night I also started the couch to 5k running programme. Having done JM's work out I was amazed how strong my legs felt. So, that left me only the breathing to contend with.....one hurdle better than 2! Also wanted to say, for anyone who is looking for new dvds to do, I dug out an old Davina dvd. 30 minute workouts and very similar to JM with strength, cardio and core. I recall doing that dvd about 5 years ago and the muscle ache rivalled JM's!!!! Good luck to everyone. This time I am going to weigh and measure as I think that will help with the motivation!

<=== impatiently awaiting the DVD's arrival! Until it arrives, I'm walking for longer and faster each day and have cut out a lot of the garbage I was including in my 'diet'. Full-on lifestyle change, here I come!

Today will be day 27 so will be 3 days behind for the February shred. And Cyclone, you ARE an inspiration. I really love the program but on days that I didn't feel like doing it, I did it anyway because it felt like you were watching me... Well done!!!

Thanks but enough praise. I posted to answer the questions of why I started and if I saw improvements and to encourage others to do something with their own health and wellbeing goals. Let us see if we can get some good momentum going in February :)

Completely inspiring. I started the New Year off right and got very sick with a terrible flu on Jan 5th. Not over it yet. Been watching what I have been eating, though, MOST of the time and have lost 5kgs. Downloaded Jillian when you started speaking of her. Looks TOUGH but want to try it once I can breathe again. WELL DONE CYCLONE T, gosh!

How many days a week have you been doing it? My daughter and I did it everyday for 30 days as that is how the program was designed (and I am an ana! rule keeper :)). However I have a friend who is taking Saturdays off and another who is doing it every second day.

I finally started it yesterday. Been putting it off because I can only wear open shoes lately. no sneakers. I did it barefoot on a carpet because i just felt like now or never. My knees hurt though I'll keep at it though, it is really 26 minutes though The stretching at the end does not count nor does the time setting yourself up for the next movement. It may not be advisable without running shoes on. *I would check with the doctor* How long until you will be able to wear shoes?

Cyclone T good for you!! Not only for completing the 30 days, but also for maintaining your 50kg weight loss for so long!! I'm in the process of losing what will hopefully ultimately be 63gk - have been hovering close to the 1/2 mark for way too long. I started the 30 day shred a couple of months ago but didn't get past 5 days. You've inspired me to restart it!! How many days a week have you been doing it? Thanks for the inspiration!!

[i'>*My final post on the January Shred Thread*[/i'> [b'>Day 30 completed![/b'> [u'>How it began:[/u'> Some of you would be aware that I turned 40 late last year and while many people take it in their stride I am not one of them. I didn’t have a complete meltdown but my birthday coupled with my sisters aggressive cancer diagnosis scared me into realising I needed to make some changes. While improved health and wellbeing was my greatest motivator a close second was vanity. I am a healthy BMI as I knocked just over 50kg off my frame 8 years ago. I look ok with clothes on but believe me naked is not a pretty sight. I want to change that this year hence the 30 Day Shred becoming part of my plan. [u'>Goal:[/u'> Improve my fitness and tone up some of the wobbly bits. [u'>Starting Point:[/u'> I did not weight or measure myself before I started (although in hindsight measuring would have been a good idea) instead I opted to see how I looked and felt naked and how my clothes sat. [u'>End Result:[/u'> There are less wobbly bits. I can feel and see that my shoulders and arms have more definition. People who have been overweight or have had children sometimes have crinkly tummies. Loose bits of skin that you have to tuck into your knickers that concertina where your lower abs are meant to be. I do not have a six pack but when I am naked it looks less like a skin coloured curtain has been draped above my bits than it did before. My pants are fitting better over my hips and while there has been no dramatic change to my rear end I feel that my butt might have stopped sliding down my leg towards my ankles. I was already a healthy eater and doing at least 30 minutes a day on the treadmill or cross trainer prior to Shredding but didn’t get the improvements I have mentioned so I will give Jillian the kudos. [u'>My Daughters Results:[/u'> Although she is in Australia my almost 18 year old daughter started the Shred with me. Her goal was to kick start her weight loss (she wants to lose 15kg which will give her a BMI of 25) and improve her fitness. Combined with eating more healthily and either a Zumba class or 30 minutes on the treadmill daily she lost 4.9kg and 24cm with an amazing 6cm off her hips in 30 days. [u'>Lessons learned:[/u'> Change involves effort. It feels good to follow through. Jillian is the expert. If I don’t like something do it anyway as it is a balanced program. If I don’t feel the exercise I am probably doing it wrong and need to watch the screen again. Morning exercise makes me feel better than evening exercise. Evening exercise makes me feel better than doing nothing at all. [u'>Summary:[/u'> I am stronger than I think both mentally and physically. I can complete a 30 day program without cheating. Feeling sore and achy is sometimes the best feeling I have had in a week. [u'>Where to now:[/u'> Back to Day 1 and focusing on being more Natalie than Anita and [b'>Starting the February Shred Head Thread.[/b'>
