We moved into our villa over 2 years ago. It is fairly old (built in the 80's) but clean and in good repair. It was repainted before we moved in. However, it has always has this kind of musty, dusty smell that I cannot shift. I wondered if it maybe came from the previous tenants, who were in the house for 8 years, burning oude or incense. If you are in the house a lot, you get used to it, but it is quite strong after a holiday or even a day at work. I air the house a lot and tried air fresheners. Any other suggestions?
