Hi hon! Not sure if I am the same person I recently joined EW but i have been to Franck and did the normal wax I didn't ask if they had this Lycon one as i wasn't even aware it existed hehe!
I don't think they do. Try Pastels. Al Wasl Road. they have just released a new 'celebrity wax' and minx nails.
it is meant to be painless x

Lycon all the way, its a great wax i've used for years. But went to a 'well known' salon here who use it and the results were outrageous! ingrown hair, ripped skin, what I think were burnt marks.
Impossible to get these with Lycon if done properly, impossible. I know the wax, love the wax, if anything it gets rid of ingrown hairs.
So point of the story - don't be dissapointed with the wax if your first attempt fails, its the therapists that arn't experienced enough yet. Fair enough, they've only had it here for 2/3 months while in Oz they've had it for 15 or so years.
Its a very difficult wax to use, so far, my experience has been so bad :(. But if you know the 'name' of a therapists that is amazing with this wax please please please please share her.
Pastels salon is fantastic for waxing....I have lived in Dubai for five years and after several waxing mishaps at certain chain salons and five star hotel salons, I was recommended to go to Pastels. Lakshmi (not sure of spelling) is excellent - her method is painless and her manner makes me feel completely at ease.
They just got a new wax in called Lycon which I used for the first time last week and I loved it! Not one ingrown hair, no soreness and my skin was so smooth after it - honestly I really wouldnt go anywhere else now!
Hope that helps!! xx
oh wow whereabouts is pastels and how much is a full leg wax and do you happen to know if it's in the entertainer body book? I'll check in a bit

I go to Therese at Roots on Jumeirah Beach Rd! She is excellent, it's relatively painless, very hygienic & the only place I haven't ended up with ingrowing hairs.
I will NEVER go back to the Grosvenor House. I went back there last time because Therese was fully booked & afterwards I remembered why I stopped going there! I have had 4 or more ingrowing hairs from the waxing, it was painful & I just basically wasn't impressed.
Regarding SISTERS Salon/The Village
FYI....please ensure that you check your bills
against what treatment you actually had.
One of my colleagues, a long time Sisters client,
was recently dumbfounded when just by
pure chance she overheard the cashier
go through her bill and realised she was
about to be over charged.
The beautician in question had made a mistake
and was charging for a full treatment but in actual
fact this is not what had taken place.
Sadly, when asked, rather than admit to
her mistake she insisted she was correct!
Bizarre!
It has left my friend in two minds
whether to move on and use another salon
particularly because she is so disappointed w/the
beautician in question who opted to lie over such an issue
and make her look like she was avoiding paying up.
I tend
to be distracted and usually pay up but from now on I'm
going to check what they write & what I'm being charged for.
Zen beauty lounge uses all natural stuff... very professional too,,
You can get it done cheaply in salons in satwa but they are not hygenic!
Rates are much the same as eveywhere else... call and check them out HTH.
I like this place too, the natural wax they use is really good and the girl as well, the only BIG BUT I find is the LIGHT, the room is pretty dark so you have to check carefully before leaving!!! I don't remember the prices.
Rajanee at Nail Spa in Ibn Battuta is really good as well, full legs and bikini line 115
"Painless", lol......it is relatively new product for them (just had it last month and cannot remember what it is called), not exactly painless, but it is much better than the other wax they used before. The process take a little longer and the skin was much smoother afterwards....regrowth seems to be about the same....any more info!? lol :-)
the lady at dubai mall sisters lounge is a legend - im afraid i cant remember how much i pay as i usually have a pedicure or something after, but its a lot cheaper than the uk thats for sure. im sure they have a price list on the website
I go to Sisters at Village Mall and the woman there is fantastic! It is 120 for the regular wax and 150 for the new "painless" wax. The number is 04 3420787 and I see Lily for my waxing.
HTH.

I have the body book so if there is anything in there you could recommend that will be great! I am one of those girls who is mad about savings so I want to use as many body vouchers as possible! :D

I go to Nail Beautique on Al Wasl Road opp little Choithrams, I think its AED80 for full bikini, always use either Reema or Basan. Only salon I go to having had horrific experiences elsewhere!
