Hi I had 21 piggies until recently (moving) and so I would say hay shoudl be 80% of their diet. The advice I read is 1 cupfull of veggies per day, mixed if you can but not essential. Guinea **** need Vitamin C, so give those high in vit C.Regards the pellets only a large handful per day, not a full bowlful and for one piggy that should be more than enough. My piggies used to eat the bits they liked and leave the rest (grass pellet and oats) and they have their own preference for veg. Loved fresh herbs - parsley, coriander (no chives as from onion family) Lawn is good, they will eat the grass Good Luck!

We have a long haired 8 month old. He is a constant eater too. We give him the hay, pellets and once a day, a different type of veg or apple. There is not much to do in the cage apart from eat but yes try not to over feed them. Once a day fill the bowls.

A quick question for guinea *** experts...is it possible to over feed them or will they only eat when hungry? We have 2 guinea **** who are about 5 months old and they seem to want to eat non stop...I give them straw, guinea *** feed, and some carrot and cucumber...I can't decide if they are getting overweight or just growing (I have not had guinea **** for about 30 years!) - so thought I's see if anyone can advise...don't want obese pets! TIA
