I have been advised by many people to get hair extensions, either the clip ons or the stick ons.. I just wanted to ask if anyone has had either of them before? How do you take care of them and do you recommend them? How long can you keep them on for?

I have medium length hair, it ends right on the middle of my back, but its extremely thin and get damaged easily and I am thinking of trying out extensions just to give my hair some density and volume.. what's your experiences with it?

The only thing I find with Great Lengths and fine hair is when you come to have them taken out it can hurt. The Keratin bond is strong and I am practically crying and my head is sore for days after In the past I have used micro rings but am now a lover of the tape ones as they are resuable so you save a fortune having them done. They are easily hidden and easy to maintain. Ali at Slam near ACE hardware on SZR does mine

dindin I have similar hair, long but fine and thin. I recently got tape (sticker) extensions at The Dollhouse in Jumeirah Ladies Club. I'm pretty happy with them although the placement isn't perfect - with my hair being so fine, the tape of the top extensions can sometimes be visable. I'll get them to put them a bit further under next time. They also sold me a packet that I didn't need (I bought 4 and really only needed 3). When I go back, I will see a different girl, Arica. I have found her to be really good. Better than the girl who put them in initially. ETA: I have also used the clip in ones before and found that they can slip quite a bit given the nature of my hair. I'm much happier with the tapes. I just wash my hair as normal, although you have to have sulphate free shampoo. The tapes are reusable - once they start growing out, you return to the salon, they soak the adhesive off and pull them out without damage. They then clean them, put on new adhesive and stick them back on at the roots of the hair. My hair is thicker, longer and no one knows I didn't grow it myself!! HTH :)
