Welcome to the Middle East! Been battling with this problem for over 10 years and my hair is now half of what it used to be. Couple of factors that influence hair fall here.. First being that the water is saline and not too good for the hair. Second, the tank of older properties may not be maintained and cleaned out so dirty tanks can also contribute to hair loss. I realized that my personal hair fall is also because of low iron content in my body. I have been taking supplements but haven't seen much of a change. I've not yet tried a water filter but here are a few links on the forum which will give you an idea of pricing and comparison of H2O Pure Blue and Blu water filters. They are not that expensive and it can be taken with you if you decide move home. http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=173716 http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=128747 10 years? And you still think it is the water?

After 12 months in Dubai i have significant hair thinning ....... not pleasant and hard now to disguise. People say its the water....so how do you combat this? I thought initially it would settle, but just keeps on getting patchier/thinner. I live in rented accommodation, and couldn't afford a massive water filter system. Any suggestions ......all greatly appreciated.
