Hello,
I urgently need help, as I don´t know what to do. We have recently moved to JBR where we can only have DU as our internet provider.
Since then, my VPN connection won´t work anymore, which I need to work from home and to access our companies server (documents). With Etisalat everything was perfect before.
As I am not a IT specialist, actually quite bad in these things, I called our European office, and our IT guy had a quick look at it.
He told me a few things, that DU has blocked this port we need for VPN and I need to talk to them, as he can not configurate anything as I also have a "official IP address" instead of a "private" one.
Maybe that sounds a little bit strange to you, but I do not have an idea how to explain it better.

Has anyone had the same problem? Did you find a solution?

I would very, very much appreciate any help as my job depends on that.

Thanks Mone

Eli1979, you should have mail, so you can remove your address when you want :)

bump - any other suggestions? This is really urgent. Has anyone dealt with DU and was succesful? Or can you still use your VPN in connection with DU? Pinks: I am not sure if my VPN provider can help. My V p enn works fine with du, why don't you ask your provider if they can help, before assuming they can't? You are less likely to get help from du for this. edited by simpleasabc on 11/04/2011

Call your V p N provider - they can change the IP address and server associated with your connection. Many providers allow you to do this yourself, but if you are IT challenged I've found them to be very helpful!
