I have a leather cleaner that I have used and it has worked well for small flaws/marks- unfortunately I purchased my cleaner when I was in the states so can't recommend a brand. I'm sure a handbag or furniture store could recommend or sell you one. Definitely check an inside section for to make sure the color isn't affected if you use one. Not at MJ, but I have taken a purse back to the store in Dubai where I purchased the handbag and got them to clean it for me when I marked my light colored purse with ink. I would first try the store or go to Bloomingdales or Harvey Nicks (they carry MJ, yes?) and ask them to fix it for you. May be a slight charge, but worth having a pro do it in my mind.

Someone posted on here a few days ago about spilling red wine on a leather handbag. A place in Magrudy's mall was recommended as they restore and repair handbags. Hopefully someone will post with the name, or do a search on 'handbag'.

Please help! I have got a black pen ink on my tan coloured leather handbag. Its a Marc Jacobs so I don't want to ruin it. Does anyone know how I can get this off without damaging the leather? Thanks. edited by Queenie79 on 20/04/2011
