I save just over half although I save all my bonus. Life in the UK wasn't like that: what I save from my salary used to go to pay tax and I had to pay for some big items (school fees, holidays) out of bonus, saving the remainder. I've often wondered what I would do if we weren't saving anything here, although we do love it here.

We save half of our salaries on most months when there isn't unexpected expenses. We would stay if we weren't able to save as long as we were living comfortably and not struggling. Chances of any savings in my home country is less than zero any ways. Dubai is our home now and we love it here.
