Hi,

I am a 45 years old woman. I have developed serious pigmentation on face more on forehead and cheeks from last 6 months. I have been using hair color from last so many years. My doctor told me the chemicals in hair color is absorbed into the blood stream which made my skin very sensitive to sun light and caused the pigmentation. From last 6 months I haven't used hair color. I used variety of ointments including hydroquinone and Depiwhite and endless home remedies including honey, lemon juice, oat meal , milk etc. but nothing helped. situation does not show any improvement. ?. Is there any one who has had a similar experience? Please share your experience.

You can use Shea Butter in pure form. Google to see its benefits it supposed to be good for pigmentation and is a natural sun block besides other benefits. I use it as a primer for my base as well and its just perfect. I started using it since any other moisturizer would give me acne so its worked perfectly for me. Shea Butter certainly is NOT a sunblock. It's SPF varies wildly and only ranges from 0-6 and certainly does nothing to block out UV rays, which are the ones that cause the problems. Not recommended. You need a proper facial sunscreen with an SPF of around 30 to be effective. Well I had read that one of its benefit was that it gives protection from the sun, I myself started using it as a moisturizer as anything else would give me acne, and since I hardly ever go out in the sun I never experienced it as a sunblock. However, its said to be good for pigmentation so, other treatments having failed, OP can maybe give it a try!

The absolute MUST is to use sunscreen on your skin every day! It HAS to be part of your skincare routine, especially here. Use a nice natural one, that is easily absorbed into your skin and put your makeup over it. I like Neutrogena, as it's not oily. I am using Bioderma photoderm spot 50 + and now a days carrying an umbrella too if I set out on foot.?

Hey, I have never heard that hypeerpigmentation can be caused from hair colour, not that its not true, just never heard about that. I am a skincare therapist and I highly recommend Pevonia skincare products. This is a salon exclusive product, for first time Id say go to a salon/spa for advice from the therapist as they can see your skin and analysis it better. But for pigmentation issues, especially hyperpigmentation the Lumafirm Freeze Dried Treatment is the best option. Also, the Lumafirm Line and DNA and Diacetyl Boldine serum and cream may also be helpful in evening the pigmentation and skin tone in the skin again. Hope this helps!
