what colour do you paint the ceiling?

Looking at new apartment and I really want bright white walls, what should I do with the ceiling and cornices? (ceilings are on the low side from memory) Do I go all the same what about contrasting cornices (would that draw attention to the low ceiling).

What is the best shade of white for a darkish room?

For low ceilings and a darkish room, paint the walls, ceiling, and cornices the same bright white to create a seamless, airy feel and avoid drawing attention to the ceiling height. Choose a neutral or warm white like Dulux Natural White or Vivid White for the best light reflection. For professional results in Dubai, visit dubaipainter.ae.

We did the same white for the ceilings too. Most houses have pale neutral yellowish white color walls. We are happy with the white. Makes the indoor appear bigger and more bright. Do not rememb...
I have repainted my flat's ceiling with soft colors such as peach and light gray and it has given a breezy feel for my flat. You can also try various dark decorative interior paints such as chocolate-brown shades with white walls if you want a dramatic, old look for your home. There are so many white paints around ranging from 'arctic' whites -- which have some blue/grey therein -- and 'creamy' whites which are warmer. For a dark room, stay away from the grey-whites as it can appear colder to the eye (unless you're going for that look). As for the ceiling, if the room has cornices, I think you achieve a better 'look' if they contrast slightly with the wall/ceiling colour. We have deep teal walls in one room with white cornices and a cream ceiling. In other rooms: creamy walls, white cornices and the same cream-white ceiling. Looks good, I think. Good luck.
