My screen on my 3G is cracked. It still works and I was trying to hold out until they release the 5, but it's just getting worse. For anyone who has had this repaired, could you tell me the cost and where you had it done? I bought it in HK duty free so no warranty. Many thanks. I had my iphone fixed at a place on SZR called Cellfix its in a office in the building next to the Volkwagan Car Showroom. My screen was well and truly smashed big time and they fixed it for me it cost 485 dhs Dont have the number coz im currently in Australia but you may find the number if you search on Google possibly failing that Im back next week on thursday Just found the number 04 2212929 try this one LL <em>edited by Lakes Lucy on 10/02/2011</em>

It doesn't matter where you buy your iPhone from, Apple gives you a 1 year warranty in all cases (from the day you register your iPhone on iTunes). But I imagine as this is the iphone 3 it must by more than 1 year old? In all cases, send it with someone to the UK or a country that has a proper apple store (not UAE). They can replace it for you for a small fee. DH cracked the back of his phone, paid £25 and got a brand new back.

i had mine replaced here by someone in Diera ...they cant get the screen as thin as apples, so after a month it just kept sticking then eventually it got jammed. AS the screen was too thick. I ended up buying another one.

Apple does that. I don't remember exactly if it was 400 or 700dhs, but the conclusion was it doesn't worth it... That's what I was afraid of. I'll give them a call tomorrow and get some info. I will be so sad not to have my iPhone until the new one is out but I can't see paying all that for a 4 right now.
