we are planning a trip to lapland end of this year. I would love to hear from anyone who has visited previously. I'm finding it hard to locate tour operators out of dubai. We will be flying direct dubai to helsinki..Any advise would be much appreciated. Tx

Ladies, would like to know any information you may have with Lapland. I have no idea even where to start. There is just so much to cover! Is one region better than another? Is every region as beautiful as they say? Is one week enough time there? What are the must-do's? Are we already late in the booking game for ice hotel? Only adults traveling so not really interested in the Santa Claus thing. Aiming for first or second week of December. Any information is appreciated thank you

Are you looking at going with Children for a Santa Claus weekend or are you looking at a winter activity week? I cant help with regards to Santa but I have been to Harriniva in Finnish Lapland on a 6 night activity holiday that included Reindeers, huskys, snow mobiles, cross country skiing and a day at a local downhill ski area. http://www.thewhitecircle.com/page/all-holidays You may have to book your own flights but I can fully recommend Harriniva as a place to stay. It is next to a river (frozen in winter) and has beautiful surroundings.
