Oh Good Lord, I might sound lazy and stupid... but figuring out this maid thing here is like rocket science for me! If you do hear of a good, legal live-out maid Dxb,Fairy, pls lemme know too. Not planning to get a live in maid till I go back to work when baby's a few months old at least (I'm due in March), but some kind of help for a few hours a day in the first few months would be great :)
maybe this needs a new post lol.
But anyway from classified i've got two examples. Are these ok and legal? gosh, i'm so confused, never looked into house help before so had no interest and now not sure what is ok and what isn't.
eg 1. Looking for LIVE-OUT nanny/housemaid in Arabian Ranches
We're a young South African family looking to employ someone who's energetic, friendly and who has experience in the UAE to take care of our 6 month old baby boy while we're at work. Unfortunately our home is too small to be able to offer accommodation, but we are happy to provide sponsorship, annual flight, travel allowance as well as other benefits.
eg 2. Full time live out house maid required for a French family in Dubai
Requirements:
Looking after a new born baby
Cleaning duties and ironing
Must have references from past employer
Age: 30 to 50
Fluent in English
Must be honest, reliable, trustworthy with high attention
Start immediately
Package:
Competitive salary
Sponsorship if needed, but having already your own visa is preferred.
2 days off a week
4 weeks holidays per year
Ticket to home country once every two years
yeah of course I should clarify - only looking for legal 'live out' maids. So either one employed by an agency (the issue i've had with cleaning agency is I can't get one that can send me the same person)
I have a question too actually, there is an add in classified (posted yesterday), I didn't hear back from the lady when I asked so not sure of the answer but here you go anyway. If say, as this lady was in the advert - sponsored by her husband, she lives with her husband too but is looking for a maid job.....is that ok? So i,e someone to come work for you a few hours a day.
What do you all make of that. Is that ok?
Are live out maids legal? Or is this lady from an agency? Do agencies do a discounted monthly package if you have the same maid come in 6 times a week for like 3-4 hours?
Bump for this, i found this old thread while doing a search for the same exact thing to see if there were any answers. I'm in a dilemma too. I'm off work due to being ill and wont be fully recovered for a while yet.
I really need house help as I can't move. I'd like a 'live out' maid too, It would be for a few months at least so like you JS i'd really prefer the same person. I have been using a cleaning agency and its bit hard as its different people and by the time i've explained everything I'm worn out again.
No interest in hiring a live in maid, so if anyone can help with info on this i'd like that. Maybe even point me in the right direction of what I should be searching for. Tried classified, its all live in at the moment.
big big thanks.
