Hi ladies,

Hoping someone might be able to clarify a few things about living in Dubai but with Abu Dhabi visas.

We are looking at moving to Dubai from Abu Dhabi where my husband works, his company is happy for him to live anywhere. I am under my husbands sponsorship. We have a Tawtheeq (Ejari) for our villa which is required for residency application/renewal.

My questions are :
Can I renew my Abu Dhabi visa with Dubai Ejari & rental contract?
Can I sponsor a housemaid in Dubai with an Abu Dhabi visa? - She'll need Dubai residency for her health insurance.

Thanks

DNRD does not have any restriction to live in another Emirate. However there are times when I have come across the issue of Visa & residence to be same Emirate. But I have never come across any person who have had any issue because of this. And I have lived here over a decade. You will have to go through Abu Dhabi for residency purpose, self or dependents. Good luck.

I have an UAQ visa and live in Dubai. Never had any issues. So long as you prove you live in Dubai i.e. have a tenancy/DEWA contract in your name then it's fine. In regards to your maid sponsorship, no I don't think that's possible. If you have an AD visa, then she has to be sponsored under an AD visa, as you are her sponsor.
