I am looking for a good standard of hotel that has a water slide for a weekend away anywhere within a few hours of Dubai (or even in Dubai). I know the Mercure Jebel Hafeet has water slides but have heard that it has become quite run down recently. Any other suggestions?

ETA - Looking for a slide into a swimming pool, rather than a whole waterpark like Atlantis

Would second Emirates Palace - we went to visit a friend there and were surprised by the pools and beach - only a couple of slides and lazy river - definitely not an Atlantis or Wild Wadi but good for an afternoon of fun. And the kids' club had a lot of activities going on in the area for all ages.

Intercontinental Al Ain (for kids only, if I recall correctly). Rotana Al Aqah. Hilton Resort Ras Al Khaimah.

The Habtoor Grand has a pretty good slide....runs down in to a small pool area specifically for that, ie not in to main pool.

Hilton resort and spa ras al khaimah has that in the kids club pool - it's fab. I think the Hilton Al Ain does too but check with them. Just come back from there. There is a small windy slide into a baby pool which is fenced off from all the main pools. My 10 years had fun for about half an hour. The hotel and pools were very nice though

Grand Hyatt (nr Wafi) apparently has a waterpark attached It's just a kids water play area with some squirty things and a slide - not really a waterpark but it's fab for little ones!
