I have been to the Irufushi twice in the last 2 years and Medhufushi once, would like to try somewhere different. I cannot afford the likes of Six Senses, Conrad etc. but likewise I don't want the cheap ones either as I do like decor etc. in the Maldives. Looking for a beach villa with breakfast and evening meal included - any recommendations? only it takes ages to trail through all the islands! Your help would be most appreciated!

Have a look at www.agoda.com and put in Maldives ( obviously!!) there are loads of great deals always coming up... Half price at some of the more expensive places.... <em>edited by ceese on 23/01/2011</em>

I have no idea how much Conrad or Six Senses would be but we went to Anantara and if we won the lottery, we'd live there a few months a year! It's my favourite place on the planet. There are two islands to choose from (unless you have won the lottery, in which case you'd be able to consider the third too) and one is more reasonable than the other. I am very jealous you're going to the Maldives! Have a wonderful time.

I've only been to Irufushi myself but the Trip Advisor website has a really good Maldives forum. If you post your question on there i'm sure you'll get a few helpful replies. Thank you, I didn't know trip advisor had a forum! Cheers!
