We went to Bandos in 2007 with the kids and had a great time. It wasn't quite as romantic as other islands but as Kellsbells said, it ticks all the boxes for a family holiday.
If it hasn't gone downhill since I went then it's a relatively cheap and easily accessible island that I would recommend.
hehehe...was just about to add that it is nowhere near as romantic as some of the places...but then, if it's not your honeymoon???
Things change when you have kids and for me the fact that it was close to Male and a hospital and the airport if the unthinkable were to happen makes it a winner.

I can recommend Bandos. We went there when DS was 11 months old.
Chose it because it was a short 20 minute speed boat ride from Male so close enough incase of an emergency.
They were fab and really great with the children. Geared up for young families.
They also have a lovely day care so you can leave your little one there if you and hubby fancy a quick snorkel together....oh and the reef there is beautiful!
Can't wait to go back!!!
Please can anyone advise, we are wanting to go to the Maldives March/April time. My DD will be 9 months old would love a nice beach cottage and nice resort.... anyone been or can recommend anywhere or let me know where to start looking?? Thanks
