t my scalp is starting to get very itchy, flakes when i unfortunately itch and gets oily after 3 days of washing..b4 it would not get oily... I have seen threads on shampoos but not similar case to mine.. can someone recommend me a good, natural shampoo and conditioner (not 2 in one) (or a at least a good brand shampoo with less chemicals) [b'>for oilier scalp, dry ends, and itchy flaky, sensitive, scalp..[/b'>.my scalp might jus be sensitive as i have noticed it looks slightly red.. I dont mind paying a lot of money but i dont want anything to damage my hair so nothing high in chemicals or medicinal.. . I have scalp and hair that sounds exactly like you're describing. It was discussed in an earlier thread. Sorry for being lazy but the link's below: http://www.expatwoman.com/forum/messages.aspx?TopicID=122125 Hope that helps

I also experience a dry and itchy scalp after a while of living here. It was driving me mad. I went to pretty lady in satwa the other day and had a keratin scalp treatment with an indian head massage. cost 90 dhs. Has provided me with some temporary relief.

i have been beside myself because of the same thing! met someone today with THE MOST BEAUTIFUL hair, she told me to do wash my hair with conditioner!! am def going to try it, considering how beautiful her hair is. Google it, there a re quite a few articles on it. I think the initial phase is the worst, getting yr hair to maintain its natural sebum production...

Hi tallyscot - I had the same problem & find a shampoo & conditioner which helps - Permea Plus Anti-Sal. You can get it from some pharmacies. I buy it in the one in Uptown Mirdiff just past Spinney's (can't remember the name, but it's next door to the clinic.

I've only been here 4 months and my hair has completely changed. I think it's the water. I went home at Christmas and it was much better. I've had a lot of hair loss and it's a lot thinner than it used to be and seems to have lost lustre! I don't suppose there are remedies for that?

hello ,I had the same problem before.am using my own hair tonique which is home made. I got the herble extracts from different places and now am making my own .tonic plus conditioner. It works wonder fully.not too expensive.no side effects. am intended to sell the stuff. but for the time being what you can try is try mother care baby shampoo.before using add 3 table spoon of honey to the bottle. other thing you can do 1 hour prior to wash your hair take 2 table spoon of olive oil and 1 table spoon of honey mix it together apply to ur scalp.cover ur hair with shawer cap.leave it for an hour or two.then wash with luke warm water and shampoo. avoid too much of any shampoo.dry with a towel.and trry to use less hair dyer. enjoy ur hair. :)

If you can't find Neutrogena T Gel - you could try Polytar Shampoo which is widely available here. It smells horrible and unfortunately didn't work for me after a while, but many people say it really works for them! It did leave my hair very squeaky clean and shiny though. In the end, I went back to Head and Shoulders, which seems to be working for me, but leaves my hair really dry!

My hairdresser in the UK advised I ride out the oily stage and not wash it more than 2x a week as this caused my scalp to be itchy & my hair oily. So many shampoos are too harsh. I haven't looked for the shampoo recently as I have changed to another shampoo from the UK. Do you use products in your hair for styling, these could be the problem as well, I tend to use far less than the recommended amount as this then makes my hair greasy and so the cycle goes on.

Neutrogena do a nice one for itchy, sensitive scalp. I used to use it when my psoriasis was starting to flare up on my scalp. haven't used it for a while, used to get it in the pharmacy in Lamcy Plaza.
