I need to source about 160 wine corks for International day at school (making Australian cork hats). Does anyone know if there if a craft supply shop or other that sells them in bulk? Need them urgently. TIA

You can buy sheets of cork periodically at daiso Corks: could have sworn that I saw packs at white star in beach centre If international day is some time away you could send a note to all your friends/schiol mums to start saving corks? always in and out of daiso, never have they had them in ab dabs at least.

finding cork here in the uae is very difficult. we were building a model railway and needed cork tiles, in the end paid through the nose but went to a gasket factory you will not find anything in the craft shops. can you not get them on line or of course you will have to do a big get together lol.

Would the Muslim children be able to handle them though if they were 'used' corks?

thanks for turning more boring topic into something interesting! Yes, the problem is most wine bottles have screw top lids.
