Welcome to Dubai, House insurance: We use AXA insurance for house cover. We got it through HSBC but you can contact them direct under Gulf Axa http://www.axa-gulf.com/ There are lots of other insurance companies so might be good to shop around or contact agent for best rates...or search on this site. Re charity, there are a couple of ladies on this site who collect for various charities..just do a separate thread mentioning charity donations and you should have a response fast. Otherwise as Tuesday said the Holy Trinity church in Outd Metha Rd or the Al Noor Centre for Special Needs beside Lulu's or back of Mall of the Emirates (http://www.alnoorspneeds.ae/fileadmin/Downloads/pdf/Al%20Noor_Location_Map.pdf) or Dubai Offshore Sailing Club take donations for Sailability a charity that runs sailing classes for kids with special needs ..they are located off Jumeirah Beach Road tel 04 3941669 . Re maid issue.
