Hi, I'm Noor. Something of a Dubai veteran , I arrived in 1978, supposedly for a week or so, never left. I am married and have 2 grown daughters and a large blended family. I was raised in Scotland, and travelled to several countries before serendipity brought me here. This is now my home. Dubai has changed so much in the past 44 years, but still thriving and interestibg with an amazing multi cultural society. I still like to research more though.

Hello ladies! My name is Melissa and I'm a 45-year-old American currently living in Amsterdam but considering a relocation to Dubai or Abu Dhabi. I moved to Europe 2 1/2 years ago on my own. My interests include connecting with people, travel, food (everything from home cooked to Michelin starred), wine, luxury, cosmetics, shopping. I currently work for myself in Amsterdam providing social connection services in the form of rebuilding your social circle as an adult as well as professional matchmaking. I have a background in psychology, have built 2 businesses (my current and also a gourmet food product) but miss the structure, colleagues, and energy of the corporate world so am looking to relocate to Dubai or Abu Dhabi to get back into it! I created and run an Amsterdam group for women with over 1,000 members and found it has been invaluable so searched for something similar and found ExpatWomen!

Hi all! My name is Abby and I'm from England. I just accepted a teaching job in Dubai SO and will be moving from London in August. I particularly enjoy literature, house parties, history, water sports and being outside with my family. I found ExpatWoman online during my Dubai research. I am very nervous about finding the right accommodation for my family and I hope some of you can help me! Random fact- I love dogs, I don't have any at the moment but I have had 4 in my life (2 Bichon frises and 2 German shepherds) and can't wait to find a new fur baby or 2 when I move to Dubai.

Canadian expat for 20 years in GCC. Fitness, anything healthy, and exploring food recipes with no sugar, and healthy eating like when I grew up. I am rekindling my expat woman connection. Dubai has changed so fast, I feel the need to keep up with more socially engaged persons. One random fact about me? I have always preferred to spend time with Elderly persons 70+ than with my age groups since I was 20 years young.
