Oops. My bad.
Let me rephrase.
I'm about to order a DVD of a program featuring a family of anglo-saxon and protestant origins who just so happen to be of the pale skin color, and who are unfairly alloted a higher socio-economic status due to the racist and economically oppresive order of the day. I will be ordering this DVD from an international website's operations that happen to be based in their division located on a small island across a narrow strip of water from a continent that is widely known as Europe.
Better?
wahahaha...thanks for that, needed a good chuckle.
Umm...yes, amazon is great. Have used it before but now only ever use it with Shop n Ship. You're welcome to use my account if indont have your own. Just shout.
Oh dear,
I just realized I used the phrase "small island."
Bad, bad, bad Tally! It is dehumanizing to describe the home of sixty million people as a small island.
Is it better to write: "geographically challenged island?"
Actually Tally, you were correct the 1st time as Amazon's depot is actually located on a small Island south of England and north of France with a population of about 92,000!!! ;)
I'm about to order Downton Abbey from it. Has anyone had trouble with parcels being delivered to Dubai from the UK website?
Never had a problem, and usually arrives within 10 days to 2 weeks. You do have a multi region DVD player though??? If not you'll find the DVD won't play....just a thought (my folks left the box set with me this Xmas, none of us gave a thought to DVD regions and sure enough we can't play it).

A little, but really should you use the term anglo-saxon? and religion too??
On a serious note, use Amazon UK all the time - never had a problem with them.
LOL......... and narrow strip of water???

That must have been hard.
Tallybalt,
I ordered every James Bond DVD (for DH) from Amazon UK to my work's PO Box.
It came within 6 days, they deducted the VAT (which was more than the postage to Dubai) and I only had to pay AED2 customs duty. Not sure if I got lucky..it ended up costing about £5 less than if I had sent it to a UK address :)

oops - can you say UK website? Doesn't it just have to be website now? We wouldn't want to offend anyone over the top sensibilities over nationality!!!!!
