My tourist visa will have expired 7 days before I fly back to UK for a 10 day visit. Is it simple to pay fine at the airport on departure when going through immigration? How much will the fine be? I

Also, will this affect my future visa applications? I have moved here to join my husband and plan to work with my own residency visa through employer asap and so obviously do not want any black mark against me.

Thank you in advance for all and any very welcome advice or experience.

I know the US passport gets 30+10 (grace) before the fine starts. The day you arrive is counted as day 1 and it is 50/50 on whether they allow the 40th day free or start to fine on that day (day 10 of the grace). The fine is 300dhs for the first day and 100dhs for each additional day. I would go on the live chat for the DRND website or simply call them. Not sure about the UK passport terms

Can I ask what Visa was that and was it only for certain Passports? What is the alternative to the 30 day Visa for non residents with UK Passport? Can one get it on arrival at Airport? Thanks UK passport holders get a free 30 day visa on arrival. I 'believe' you can apply for a 90 day long stay visa, but it costs.

Thank you in advance for all and any very welcome advice or experience. The fines for overstay are 200 dhs for the first day and 100dhs for every consecutive day - apparently. It might be worth seeing if you can extend your visa before it runs out, as they're being a bit 'touchy' with regard to people taking the mick with visas at the moment.

i think it is 300 AED for each day of extra stay. My parents mistakenly booked +1 day last year and they had to pay 300 each on departure. They came to visit this year and took another visa without problems.
