My DVD recorde at home that was bought in Europe is not able to read some DVDs I buy here and some that I've been buying in Europe.
Which recorder is the best?

TIA

I just bought a Phillips from Geant and once I got it home none of my dvd's from the US worked...I took it back and the guy in the electronics dept fixed it, just needed some code entered...I think this might be the case for the larger brands. Just make sure to ask before you go home from the store so you don't have to take a trip back! Actually I just bought one from Phillips in Carrefour the other day and the same thing happened was going to return it and exchange it for another from recommendations here, but now I just ask them to enter some code then....:)

You need to make it into a multi region player. there are codes that you need to enter to make it able to read all regions. Worth going onto google and putting in the make of your dvd player and asking about multi region codes then just enter on the remote control and you've got it!
