there is a ' Belle Epoque ' brasserie on the place de la bastille called Bofinger which is great. has a stained glass dome inside. does amazing food.It is actually more 'off' place de la Bastille but the address is I think 6, place de la Bastille. Taxi drivers will know it. sort of between place des Voges and Bastille.

Taillevent is really nice but my favorite one is Apicius (www.restaurant-apicius.com/). Not sure at all that you will find a table for next week, it is really unique and as you can imagine really expensive. If you are just looking for a nice bistrot with nice food (typical parisian restaurant) you can try cinq-mars-restaurant.com/., I was there last week-end, it is charming, even if it is a little bit noisy. The location is great and you can walk from there to the Jjardin des Tuileries or La Place Vendôme. The most romantic side of Paris is probably l'île Saint- Louis. If you come back at summer time you will be able to try he new terrasse of La Maison Blanche, which offers an amazing view on Paris.

I used to love Le Taillevent resteurant in Paris, not been for some time but I hear these days this is the place where Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have dinner when they're in Paris. Its traditional haute cuisine at its best. An elegant place for a romanic dinner, I had the most divine pate I have ever eaten there. http://www.bestrestaurantsparis.com/fr/restaurant-paris/taillevent.html
