thnx everybody. have talked in the embassy but not of much help. my mind is made up to re schedule it i think. newspapers are reporting that the govtt is due to form this week and there is some violence.

I would not go and have postponed a weekend there. Many colleagues with family in Lebanon have advised this and are worried about their loved ones. There is too much instability and look what happened in 2006, when so many people were stranded there when it shut down. It is not worth it.
