i've been back over the old threads and it seems like everyone is recommending Saffron. Unfortunately they don't have any space for this weekend and i really want to book for my sister and my neice coming over. Any other recommendations for brunch with a 2.5 yr old?

Spice Island at Renaissance Hotel. They have play area for kids and affordable buffet.

Surely it doesn't really matter where you go with a two year old so long as they have a high chair ! trying to contain and 2 1/2 year old in a highchair is like trying to untangle an octopus from a net! 2 1/2 year olds are also far to old and big for highchairs and if you restrain them they tend to scream I thought exactly the same - there's no way I'd put a 2+ yr old in a high chair. our 3 yr old is on the small side and he still sits in a high chair since he doesn't eat well otherwise.

Bubbilicious is great if you have kids and I think it's worth the money if you happen to like champagne. We also like Jumeirah Beach Hotel and the prices are comprable to Saffron; they are child friendly and it feels quite classy for the price

I agree... rip off!! hahah... i'm going to the pyramids this weekend.. not sure if there is a child's play area.. 3 rests at 130dhs for non alcohol ...

I have 2 children, aged 3 and 1yr and if we take them for a family brunch, then we always go to the Marriott in Deira. They have a great children's play area, right in the middle of all 3 restaurants (you are able to wander through all 3 of them for your food). They also provide the children with their own selection of food (typically aimed at children). It's great for kids, and not that expensive either. You don't pay for the children, and adult prices start from as little as AED222 (don't quote me, but I think they've just reduced their prices, so could now be as little as AED195). Definitely worth a try!
