Hi ladies,

I ve been in Dubai 3.5 years now. I have been a working mum and now a stay at home mum as I wanna be home for kids more. I have a degree in Masters of Science (but have not been using that for 10 years ;-)). I was thinking of picking up studying again. In this way my time in Dubai is not wasted :-)
I am interested in studying for Dietician..Where to start? Google does not give a lot of answers.. Anybody done it? Anybody knows where they offer that? Is it possible part time?

Thanks ladies!

Have you ever looked into plant based nutrition? Such dietitians are needed in Dubai ( and everywhere else). E - Cornell has an online course http://www.ecornell.com/certificates/plant-based-nutrition/certificate-in-plant-based-nutrition/ And Dr McDougall has several online courses http://www.mcdougallmedia.com/products.php?catid=22&category=Dietary%20Therapy

Hi Salamander, that is great news that you are thinking of going back to studying. To get you started, I can highly recommend COURSERA, they offer a lot of free courses through American and British universitities. It is a great way to see what direction you want to take, before making a significant time and financial investment. I have been getting my MS in Psychology for the past 2 years, part-time, and yes it is absolutely possible. I calculate about 20 hours of studying time, researching, writing, exam taking etc... per week. Hope this helps, and enjoy.

Hi Salamander, just scrolling through and saw your post. I have always been interested in nutrition and stumbled accross a course on would you believe Groupon. I checked it out and all legit through an endorsed company in the UK - Centre of Excellence Online Courses. The course is called the "Diet and Nutritional Advisor Course". There was a second course on Groupon however I felt at this time this best suited my needs and it was only approx 270 AED. Anyway check ot out and see what you think. If I can help anymore don't hesitate to contact me. Regards AEW
