Hi

The only supermarket ive been into so far in Dubai when i visited in December was Spinnys, it seemed ok, but not sure if its the best??

Would anyone recommend where to go for things like Bread, Fruit & Veg and meats?

Id be interested to hear from anyone xx

I am vegetarian and fussy about my produce. After much shopping around I get most items I need from Lulu Al Barsha. They also have an extensive refridgerated imported section predominately from the US, UK and Canada. I also visit Waitrose once a month for small bits like pickled onions, sundried tomatoes and a couple of frozen items I like.

I have places I got for certain things. So in my opinion.... Park and Shop have the best fresh baked bread, and steaks Waitrose have the best fruit/vege, dairy product, beef mince, pork product, chicken breasts (big ones that haven't been pre-frozen, so you can freeze for use later) I do go to spinney's occassionally, but I prefer these two ...

Waitrose :-) They actually own Spinneys and you may have noticed a lot of Spinneys goods are in fact labelled as Waitrose produce. I just find Waitrose has more choice. Not cheap, but worth it in my book.
