I just had to post a response to some of the negative postings here!!! I did the test in December. I did VIP so the whole process from registration to actually getting my physical licence took one month. I did the practical test twice and passed the second time. Embarassing because I've been driving for years, but apparently that's just the way it works. The theory test was 10 questions that took less than 10 seconds to answer using a computer! You don't need to get them all correct. I'm assuming the extended theory test is the same just with more questions. Some are common sense and others you reallly have to learn the UAE road signs. The actual theory course was a waste of time, but I was told to study the 'card' (buy it for 5 dhs from the school's accounting office) rather than the book as all the questions come off the card. They were 100% correct: every question was from the card which you can study for 30 mins before the test like I did! Good luck!

yup, it's common sense and situation-based, so as long as you're not making daft decisions on the road (before you get on the road) then you'll be just fine. Obviously, a lot of people here could fail it just on that premise. Think safety. Am I doing the correct speed, correct distance, correct signals/warning and/or correct precautions for whatever I'm faced with?

theory is not the problem....its the actual PRACTICAL test you'll never pass on....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( If you dont make a major mistake you will pass! ;)

Hello! I heard by so many people that it is a online theory test, so we can practice at RTA website. I've been looking for this for so long (I'm probably doing something wrong...), and could not find it. Could someone please send me the link? hi, Della Roso, i passed last month. yes, it has 35 questions. you have to have more than 23 answers right, then you pass. it is not difficult but u need to take some time on watching the DVD and get to know all traffic signals.
