hello together,

I getting confused and do not know what information is right or wrong...maybe you can help me out.
I was working for a compeny in JAFZA and tomorrow I have to start the visa cancellation process.

From the day of the cancellation on I have a grace period of 30 days, right? That means I get these 30 days to exit the UAE?! And within these 30 days grace period I can apply to transfer my sponsorship to a new employer?!

Thanks.

in the case I will work for another company in JAFZA as well you can transfer the visa. but I am not sure if this is also possible in these 30 days?! Unfortunatelly my new company is still working on the condition of the contract :-/ the rules have changed since the beginning of year. you basicially dont transfer any more. if you earn over 12k per month you do not need a NOC but they cancel the visa and the new company can issue you one, in abu dhabi at least this is what is now the case, if you sponsor your family a deposit of 5k has to be given so they dont cancel their visas. if you earn under 12k then a noc is required so i believe. but in the case of cancelling a visa for ever, then you have 30 days once its been cancelled and stamped in your passport.

thx. so the grace period is only for the time I have to exit the uae, nothing to do with visa transfer??? If you are cancelling your visa - you cannot transfer at all. As soon as you start the cancellation process you will have to apply for a new visa. If you want to transfer has to be done BEFORE the date you need to cancel

Unfortunatelly my new company is still working on the condition of the contract :-/ Can only transfer a visa if NOT cancelled. If visa cancelled you have to apply for a new one. You have 30 days after cancellation to leave the UAE or get a new job and start the visa application process. If you are one of the lucky ones, you can do a visa run as soon as the 30 days grace period is up.

If your current visa is cancelled, you won't be transferring it will you? You'll be applying for a new one?

Basically yes. Whatever is stamped is when your count down starts.

Yes, or (depending on your nationality) you can leave and re-enter to exend your stay.
