coffeebreak, if you type in "kalba border post" and then choose the option Oman Border Post, it will bring it up. It is right over on the Oman coastline - about a 2hr drive.

Hi, I was told the Hatta border had been shut before too, I went last month and with the new changes there were lots of unhappy tourists around. I rang immigration yesterday and they just stated 30+10 days on UK passport as I was informed last month. I asked if I could buy a visa in Dubai which I have heard of but have never done and I was told yes at the airport but only for 20 days. Does anyone know if a month visa can be bought at the airport? Where is the Kalba border I have googled but it's not clear is it through RAK? Who would I contact to find out if Hatta is open the lady yesterday did not know.. I am thinking it might just be best to go with a company. I will miss my Hatta fort coffee afterwards ;-) Sorry for questions but I wish to avoid stressful episode of last month. thank you

I took some people to Hatta today - we were turned away and sent to the Kalba Border Station. I'm not sure when/how/why the Hatta crossing was closed, but it seems it's not the first time in recent times. Check that before you set off - it's much quicker to go to Kalba via Emirates Road/Sharjah than to Hatta first!

Hi, I arrived in Dubai on 25th May and have a 30 day visa (british passport). Do you still get the 10 day allowance after the 30 days or will I be fined. I may only be here a few days after the expired date and wondered if I had to do a visa run. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

My friend did a visa run at Hatta on Saturday which was day 40 for him. No issues and no fine.

I did my run on Friday, you have to do it between 30-40 days. Anytime before and they will not issue you with a new visa. Yes the 10 day grace period still stands.

Hi everyone! I'm currently on a 30 day visit visa which is ending on the 7th June, so I need to do a visa run soon. Do I need to wait until the 30 days is up before I do the run, or should I do one before then? I have a British passport. Does the 10 day grace period still stand, I can't seem to find a solid answer on when is best to do the run. Does anyone recommend a company to go with? Many Thanks, Tamar
