I just renew my annual WASEL, and according to a previous SMS I was supposed to get 25dhs credit, but when I check my balance I see no credit....Any ideas?

Free credit won't show up on your normal credit balance. It's there, you just won't see it. There's a specific way you have to check it (not the usual *121#). Your balance will appear to stay still until you've used up all the free credit.

don't know if this is the same offer cos I got lifetime renewal last time I did renew my WASEL, but I got AED 500 credit earlier this week by registering with etisalat by sending SMS of rw to 1010 (sorry cant remember if it was capitals or lower case). That's the get free credit when you top up offer.

I just checked and Chocs01 is right, it is AED3. I am going to transfer my whole balance to my DD and then use the AED80 that expires on 15th April and then buy more credit. This is such a stupid system as I hardly know anyone that ever lets their pre-paid phone credit go so low, I panic if mine is less than AED100. I wonder how I can get off this 'offer', anyone know? Oh I asked about that, they make it easy for you to join, but to unsubscribe you have to actually go to Etisalat.

Have found that all of their "offers" are a load of tosh - there was the "get free"before and you kept on getting messages saying you need to spend X dhs more before you got the "free" dhs. What a waste of time..

If you've registered for the free credit the more you talk, you type *121*2# to check the balance. If you've registered for free credit when you top up it's *121*3# to check the balance. That credit only starts to be used when your actual credit goes down to 3 dhs - not 8 dhs. And there are expiry dates on the free credit. I find the free credit each time you top up is better.

Check *121*3# That is where I seem to get my free credit! But you have to let the balance go below AED8 if you want to spend it, stupid stupid system if you ask me!!!
